The 38 km long Teltowkanalweg connects the Griebnitzsee with the Dahme in the south of Berlin. The navigable canal, which was built in just six years, was intended to shorten the waterway between the Oder and the Elbe around 1900. With the construction of the Teltowkanal, many smaller streams disappeared at the time, as their beds were used for the canal's course. The path is designed continuously for hikers and mostly also for cyclists.

Take a deep breath with a view – apparently a particularly exclusive place: Here you breathe. And look. Both are basically possible anywhere, but with a red dot it immediately seems more significant.

Small to large pine trees, lots of sand and heather bushes line the landscape southwest of Berlin. A great area for walking and enjoying peace and quiet. The heath got its name from the par force hunts of King Friedrich Wilhelm I in the 18th century.
