Nice beach, but very busy on sunny days and weekends. This stretch can be difficult to bike due to the heavy traffic.

Beautiful little public beach with a small park and views all the way to Sweden. Highly recommended for a break. In Humlebæk, overlooking the straits to Sweden, Danish artist Per Arnoldi created the sculpture "October 1943", a rowing boat made of black granite. It stands on Peder Mads Strand south of Slettenhus. During the occupation, Slettenhus housed Hotel Gylfe, a meeting place for Danish resistance fighters and a hiding place for Danish Jews before they sailed from Sletten Havn to Sweden.

We discovered a beautiful cycle path along the tracks. Unfortunately, we turned on it a good 5 km too late. It leads through green thickets and is a good 15 km long.

The train station looks pretty, as does the large bus shelter.

Very popular with cyclists, has indoor seating and great cakes and sandwiches. No loo but use the ones down by Niva harbour.
