Clear recommendation as a quiet alternative to the heavily trafficked Pustertaler Staatsstraße!🚴💨 The few extra meters of altitude are definitely worth it: apart from local traffic, there is practically no motorized traffic here. Road condition (as of 09/2026): From Welsberg: Nice, fresh asphalt – it goes up great. From Olang: The surface is significantly worse. You can expect deep potholes here – especially be careful on the descent!
