Faro della Libertà, a 15-meter high stone tower designed by architects Gabetti and Isola in 1967, in memory of the 600 partisans who fell in Pinerolese: from here the panorama ranges 360° over the western Alps and the Pinerolese plain, with the unmistakable silhouette of the Rocca di Cavour.

After the demanding climb of Via Massina, with its more than respectable ramps, the arrival in Prarostino finally offers some respite. From here, the view stretches over the plain below, amply rewarding the effort of the last few hundred meters of elevation gain.

Not far from San Secondo di Pinerolo, the beautiful chapel of San Sebastiano features classic Alpine architecture (a pitched roof and portico). It should be possible to visit the interior by appointment. Behind the chapel, a large picnic area with tables and a permanent barbecue is dedicated to Agostino Benedetto, a biker from San Secondo di Pinerolo who died in a cycling accident in 2018. Ironically, bicycles are not allowed in the area.

On the way to the chapel of Santa Sea is this very minimal chapel, with a stone facade with two small windows and a door and nothing else, except a couple of flower pots to try to soften its appearance. In its minimalism, it is fascinating. It can be reached with a two-minute detour from the Via della Pietra.
