A town to visit absolutely. In my opinion One of the most beautiful if not the most beautiful in Lomellina. The beauty of the Murals, the originality of the Chimney Sweeps on the roofs of the buildings make you relive atmospheres long forgotten and that you will always remember with a smile. I often go back there by bike and every time I get excited

The name “Casoni” has its origins in the ancient Sylva Carbonaria, a vast forest between the village and the Ticino River. This forest was periodically burned to produce charcoal. The region was once part of the vast Sylva Carbonaria, which stretched from the Terdoppio and Agogna rivers to the Ticino and Po. In the Middle Ages, a royal fief was recognized here. Casoni served as one of the main locations for the shooting of the famous 1984 film “Il ragazzo di campagna”, directed by Castellano and Pipolo and starring Renato Pozzetto.
