Over the years, the castle was modernized and updated. This included the tower, whose heavy line of the fortified wall was broken by irregular window and door arrangements. The castle still houses remarkable works of art. The neo-Gothic armory houses a cast-iron stove from 1539 and two marble Renaissance mantelpieces. The castle also contains important paintings, tapestries, gold leather wallpaper, and furniture in a variety of styles. (Municipality of Westerlo)

The Kaaibeekse dreef runs past the Kaaibeekse farm of the same name towards the Grote Nete and then on to the reeds in Westerlo.

Also known as the chapel of the Trichelhoek, often cited as the oldest residential area of Eindhout (12th-13th century); located on a hill and surrounded by lime trees. On the right on the verge: old water well. Already mentioned as a chapel in the early 16th century; current late Gothic building probably from around 1600 with a later added, lower sacristy to the southeast. Restored in 1985 to a design from 1982-1983 by architect M. Vangenechten. Slender-looking hall church of three bays with three-sided closure under a slate saddle roof (ridge parallel to the street) with a lean-to and roof turret. Anchored brick construction with cut buttresses and use of sandstone for continuous water mouldings and frames, diagonal brick frieze. Closed north and west facade, the latter pointed gable with shoulder pieces. South facade with in the first bay a basket-arch door in a profiled sandstone frame with a surrounding water list, foot scraper on the right. Simple pointed arch windows with iron bars, sacristy with roofs, wall braiding, rectangular barred window and water drain of natural stone.
