A Saxon church founded in the 10th or 11th Century on the site of an even older church, and altered and added-to over the centuries. On the North wall is the Chaldon Mural, ‘the Ladder of Salvation of the Human Soul’, painted in around 1200 then white-washed over at some point, and revealed again in 1869; a unique work of art and very worth a look.

This is not for the faint of heart or legs,. It's steep, it's long and it's plagued by loads of traffic. However it's well paved and makes a super fast descent into the wapses lodge roundabout. you will need a great climbing gear for this and steady cadence. The Hill has two 25% rise with a slight leveling in between

An absolutely nice and quiet lane, there is much greenery around. The road is a bit narrow, nonetheless the road surface is good for both road and gravel riding. it's mostly flat with little rising, nothing much to bother your legs.

Quiet narrow road until you reach the village and the rest of the climb up Leith. Decent

Road surface has been replaced recently which is good. The initial part of the climb is brutal, descending it can be difficult especially in the wet so don’t pick up too much speed!

Lovely section of Road. Another Climb but usually devoid of cars. One can just chill with only the sound of the chain, your breathing and birdsong
