Start at St Nicholas car park in Kenilworth (2hrs free parking) Follow greenway past the Common to near Berkswell. Original route changed with HS2 but good surfaced track replaced parts. Return total journey 11.5 mls. Dog walkers a peril so need a good bell!!

The castle was founded after the Norman Conquest of 1066; with development through to the Tudor period. Has this disappeared due to HS2? Looked for it 12 months ago from the Bridge in Burton Green all we could see was the 6 lane wide barren line of red earth stretching towards Kenilworth
