Frigiliana is a beautiful town that you can cycle through early in the morning, before the numerous tourists who visit it invade. It's definitely worth it, especially if you do it as the start of a route like a Frigiliana-Competa circular route, as I did.

A bright white village clinging to the mountainside with superb views of the mountains and the sea. We do not recommend cycling up the path suggested by komoot, unless you are fit and on a mountain bike. It is very steep. Better to take the normal road (MA 5105)

Frigiliana is one of the most beautiful villages in Andalusia and offers picturesque beauty and a charming atmosphere. The historic part of the village is a maze of narrow streets that gently wind up the hill. The white facade of the houses and the colorful flowers in the windows create a special atmosphere. Frigiliana has a significant Moorish influence, which is reflected in the architecture and the narrow, labyrinthine streets. The Museo Arqueológico in the village displays many archaeological finds from the Moorish era.

The Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Rosario is the heart of Canillas de Albaida, a charming white village. Surrounded by bright white houses decorated with colourful flowers, the square offers an authentic atmosphere. Here you will find the town hall and the Iglesia de Nuestra Señora de la Expectación, a church with impressive architecture. The Plaza de Nuestra Señora del Rosario therefore offers not only cultural attractions but also a welcome rest stop for cyclists exploring the beauty of Andalusia on this route.
