A lovely view of the Loire River bed, its sandbanks, Tranquille Island, and the tip of Métairie Island. The viewpoint overlooks Rue des Basses Rivières and the Quai de Loire in the town of Rochecorbon, and is close to the Tour de la Lanterne, the only remaining remnant of Rochecorbon Castle (located on private property). In the background, the towns of La Ville au Dame and Saint-Pierre des Corps, and their respective business parks, can be seen. To get there, near number 18 of the Route de la Bourdonnerie, take the vineyard path towards the Loire, and follow it on the left along the hillside. This path leads to a dead end (private property), so you will need to turn around.

The Cher River bike path is fun. However, in some places it's more of a single track, requiring concentration and avoiding many potholes.
