The Drogenap Tower, originally called Salztor, was built in 1444–1446 as a city gate of Zutphen. However, it only served as a city gate for a short time, as it was walled up in 1465. After the city musician Tonis Drogenap lived in the building in the mid-16th century, the gatehouse received the name Drogenap Tower. This tower was built in 1444 and at that time still bordered the Berkel. From 1888 to 1927, the tower served as a water tower.

Somewhat hidden on the map, there is a small bridge over the Berkel (even officially a cycle path) and a small hut on the bank for a break.

A truly remarkable church whose interior has survived the turmoil of time. Information about the unfortunately limited opening hours can be found at https://www.demooistekerk.nl/bezoeken.php

Very beautiful church, but it is not in Lochem but in Vierakker

A beautiful tea garden. It's called Vierakker. It's also a sculpture garden and gallery. Truly enormous. The owner bakes all the pies himself, except the apple pie, which is baked in Zutphen because he hates peeling apples.
