Very nice for snorkeling as only a few boats anchor there.

There are turtles to discover along the way, which is a great motivation for children to walk to the beach and much nicer than walking along the road 😉

A beautiful trail that winds through Mallorca's coastal forest. This route begins at S'Amarador beach, and along the way, we'll cross forest areas, coastline, and a viewpoint with unique views. 😎👌

"...The route leads through the surroundings of S'Amarador and its wetland area. The almost circular route begins at the Ca sa Muda parking lot on S'Amarador beach. This route is characterized by its great biodiversity, as it crosses one of the few remaining lagoon areas in this coastal region of Mallorca. You can also experience the S'Amarador torrent and its pond firsthand..." https://www.illesbalears.travel/de/mallorca/naturschutzgebiet-mondrago#actividades

"For many, it is not only the most beautiful beach in Spain, but in all of Europe. Located in the middle of a national park, s'Amarador is a fine sandy bay in the southeast of Mallorca and a small paradise for bathers, holidaymakers, and locals. As one of two beaches in Cala Mondragó, it is sheltered in the southern part of the bay. Bathers experience a special feeling due to the lack of development. Barely surrounded by hotels, it offers a small oasis of peace and relaxation. Instead, the bay is framed by rocky cliffs and pine groves. The beach slopes gently into the water and is a natural beauty. Turquoise water that sparkles in the sun and many lush green Mallorcan plants surround it. The beach is just 150 meters long and 50 meters wide. Along the cliffs, you reach the neighboring beach in the bay of Mondragó. It is called Cala de ses Fonts de n'Alís and is separated from the bay only by a rock. s'Amarador is separated. The stunning location in the Mondragó Natural Park and its child-friendly conditions make s'Amarador particularly attractive for families. https://www.holamallorca.com/de/mallorca/reisefuehrer/straende/strand-s-amarador.htm

The Balearic Islands offer a fantastic selection of family-friendly routes. You'll find over 2,600 easy hiking trails suitable for families, with many more moderate options if you're looking for a bit more challenge.
The Balearic Islands are wonderful for family hikes during spring (April-May) and autumn (September-October). The weather is pleasantly mild, avoiding the intense heat of summer, which is ideal for children. Winter can also be lovely, especially in Mallorca's Serra de Tramuntana, with cooler temperatures perfect for longer walks.
Yes, Ibiza offers several enjoyable circular routes perfect for families. For a scenic coastal walk with a lighthouse, consider the Faro des Moscarter and Portinatx — circular route through the north of Ibiza. This trail provides beautiful sea views and is manageable for most families.
The islands boast diverse natural beauty. You can explore stunning coastlines, pine forests, and even wetlands. For example, the Mondragó Natural Park Loop on Mallorca takes you through a protected area with beautiful beaches and dunes. Menorca's Camí de Cavalls also offers access to numerous coves and natural spaces.
Absolutely! The Balearic Islands are rich in history. On Mallorca, you might encounter ancient olive groves and traditional terraced hillsides in the Serra de Tramuntana. Menorca's Camí de Cavalls passes by lighthouses, prehistoric Talaiotic sites, and defensive towers. You can also visit places like Alaró Castle or the ruins at Talaia de Son Jaumell, which offer historical insights and often great views.
The komoot community highly rates the family-friendly trails in the Balearic Islands, with an average score of 4.4 stars. Reviewers often praise the well-maintained paths, the stunning coastal and mountain views, and the variety of routes suitable for different ages and abilities. Many appreciate the opportunity to combine hiking with beach visits or exploring charming villages.
Yes, several routes offer picturesque lighthouse views. On Mallorca, the Port de Sóller, Muleta Refuge, and Cap Gros Lighthouse Loop is a great option, providing stunning coastal scenery and a visit to the Cap Gros Lighthouse. In Ibiza, the Faro des Moscarter and Portinatx route also features a beautiful lighthouse.
Mallorca is perfect for easy walks with breathtaking sea views. The Tower and Cala d'en Basset via Pas d'en Grau — circular from Sant Elm route offers coastal vistas and a chance to explore a historic tower. Another excellent choice is the Puig Gros and the viewpoints of Cap Andritxol, which provides panoramic views of the coastline near Cala Fornells.
Many family-friendly coastal trails in the Balearic Islands lead to beautiful coves and beaches where you can enjoy a refreshing swim. The Camí de Cavalls in Menorca, for instance, offers access to over 50 beaches and coves. On Mallorca, routes through natural parks like Mondragó often end at pristine beaches, perfect for a dip after your walk.
For families with toddlers, look for trails described as 'easy' with minimal elevation gain and well-maintained surfaces. Many coastal paths and routes within natural parks, such as sections of the Mondragó Natural Park, are relatively flat and offer short, manageable distances. Always check the route details for specific terrain and distance to ensure it's suitable for your little ones.
In spring, the weather can be variable but generally pleasant. We recommend dressing in layers so you can adapt to changing temperatures. Comfortable walking shoes are a must, and a light jacket or windbreaker is advisable, especially for coastal areas or higher elevations. Don't forget sun protection like hats and sunscreen, even on cloudy days.
