This is where the Southwest Commuter Path meets the Ice Age National Scenic Trail on Madison’s edge. It’s a great spot to break up your ride if you want to explore on foot. From here, the Ice Age Trail heads west toward Verona, offering a few miles of natural surface trail through prairies and woods.

A nice tavern right off the bike trail. During weekends they have a large outdoor seating area.

On the bridge right before (if you're riding west) or after (heading east) Riley, stop at this bridge and watch the turtles. You can usually find dozens of them, starting in April and extending into the fall.
