Gniezno Cathedral is considered one of the most important religious buildings in Poland. Since the 15th century, the church has served as both the seat of the Archbishop of Gniezno and the Primate of Poland. The Gniezno Double Doors, made of bronze, are of great significance on a European scale.

A beautifully restored manor house in the village of Harbin. It's currently private property. It's worth a visit to see the result. Google Maps also shows the building's previous condition.

A 19th-century Classicist manor house. A rectangular, single-story building with a mezzanine, covered with a gently sloping gable roof, with a tower on the eastern side. A perpendicular annex is located on the garden elevation. The main body is oriented with its longer axis in the West/Northwest - East/Southeast directions, with the façade facing South/Southwest. The façades feature partially preserved architectural details, including a tower topped with battlements. The façade features a centrally located, triangular projection, consisting of a pillared porch on the lower level and a two-axis extension on the upper level. In recent years, the manor house has been renovated and is now privately owned. (polskiezabytki.pl)

September 14, 2025, Wooden Church

St. Martin's Church in Linówiec – a wooden branch church dedicated to St. Martin. 🪵 History and Construction - The church was founded in 1749 by the village owner, Sebastian Cząstkowski. - Built using log construction on a stone foundation, it is timbered and oriented – in keeping with tradition, the chancel faces east. - The church has a hall-like layout, without a separate chancel, and is enclosed on three sides. - The mansard roof, covered with sheet metal, is topped by an octagonal bell tower with an onion-shaped dome and a lantern. 🎨 Interior and Furnishings - The interior is covered with a flat ceiling with a coving, and the choir loft, supported by two columns, houses the organ case. - The main altar comes from the Reformed Friars Minor monastery in Pakość – Baroque, from the first quarter of the 18th century, with sculptures of adoring angels and a painting of the Marriage of the Blessed Virgin Mary to Joseph – a rare motif in church iconography. - At the top of the altar is an oval painting of St. Martin. - The side altar and pulpit represent the Baroque-folk style, from the turn of the 18th and 19th centuries. - Remnants of polychrome paintings have survived, as well as a granite stoup and a processional cross with the date "1756."

The sculpture was unveiled on 2018 as the final piece of Gniezno's Royal Route project, depicting Poland's first king who was crowned in 1025. The statue stands in front of the Old Town Hall on Chrobrego Street, representing the ruler who led the famous Congress of Gniezno in 1000 AD when Emperor Otto III visited the city. This is the third sculpture commemorating Bolesław the Brave in Gniezno, completing a collection of five royal statues honoring kings crowned here.

The Market Square is located in the Old Town on Panieński Hill, one of Gniezno. After a devastating fire in 1819 that destroyed most of Gniezno, the square was rebuilt according to new urban planning that created a spatial axis between the cathedral and the evangelical church, with only two original medieval buildings surviving. Today the cobblestone square features a fountain inaugurated in 2014, and during winter months it hosts a 10-12 meter Christmas tree and an ice rink that has operated since 2008.
