It's best to wear sturdy flip-flops here. The bottom is partly muddy, and shoes tend to stick. Flip-flops can easily get stuck when you lift your feet. Otherwise, the bottom is firm, and the water isn't too cold at the moment (September). The path is clear and high enough for people of average height. Be sure to bring a flashlight; there's no light for 1200 meters. Enjoy!
