The Church of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary in Dąbie is one of the oldest monuments in this part of Szczecin. Its origins date back to the 13th century, and the current Gothic church was built in the 15th century. In 1863, the church was almost completely destroyed by fire, after which it was rebuilt in the Neo-Gothic style, preserving parts of the medieval walls. In 1945, it was seriously damaged, but it survived the war, and in August of the same year, Mass was celebrated in it again. The characteristic 75.6-meter-high tower was for many years the tallest church tower in Szczecin.

The Orthodox Church of St. Nicholas is one of Szczecin's newest sacred buildings – and at the same time the first Orthodox church built from scratch in Pomerania. Construction began in 2003, financed almost entirely by community members and believers from abroad. The church stands on the ground plan of a Greek cross and was consecrated in 2011. Its bright dome and the clear, modern interpretation of Orthodox architecture make it a striking point in the cityscape. It is a quiet, easily accessible stop that offers an exciting insight into Szczecin's religious diversity.

I don't know what's inside, but looking at the building from the outside I feel that the bar has been set high and I have to check it out next time I visit Szczecin.

The Renaissance castle is a former residence of the Dukes of Pomerania, which until its destruction in World War II was the best preserved castle of the Griffin Dukes who died out during the Thirty Years' War. After reconstruction, the Duke's castle is now one of the largest cultural centers in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship.

Before 1945, it was also called the Anklam Gate. It is a late baroque gate that was built by Gerhard Cornelius von Walrave in place of a medieval gate in the city wall immediately after the Prussian takeover of Stettin in 1720. During the Second World War, the baroque figures and reliefs were dismantled and hidden in the Stettin city forest - Eckerberger Forest - where they survived the destruction of Stettin unscathed. They were not discovered until 1957, and the gate was subsequently reconstructed. Since then, it has housed an art gallery, the Brama Jazz Cafe club, and since 2017, a chocolate-drinking restaurant from Wedel.

One of the most famous and recognizable monuments of Szczecin. The Royal Gate in Szczecin is a historic city gate from 1725-1728, designed by the Dutch engineer Gerhard Cornelius van Wallrawe. Originally called Anklamer Tor, it changed its name to its current name after the war. It is distinguished by sculptures of Mars and Hercules and the Prussian eagle, works by the court sculptor of Frederick William I. During World War II, the decorations were hidden to protect them. The gate was renovated in 1994, and now houses the Wedel chocolate pump room. It is entered into the register of monuments.
