From 1990 to 1993, the mill's exterior was completely renovated. However, the old grinding mechanism was removed and replaced with modern machinery. The mill building now belongs to the Onken family's compound feed factory.

🌊The Ems barrage is one of the most modern barrages in Europe🇪🇺, in operation since 2002. The 476-meter-long structure fulfills two main tasks: It improves 🌊storm surge protection & the damming function makes it possible to transfer ships with a draft of up to 8.50 meters🚢. There is a large free car park right next to it. 🫨A huge structure & a mega photo location 🎨📸
