From all handicraft facilities we have seen on the Lofoten around ceramic and glas, this is our preferred one. The photos presented are also top notch. Very friendly staff and flexible artists offering make to order in case special wishes shall/can be accomodated.

Bua Vågan is part of the Bua Foundation in Norway to support kids and young people to become or stay active in outdoor sports. They have a huge selection of equipment to be borrowed. We got some snowshoes and X-Country Ski. As they also carry some equipment for adults, they were kind enough to rent it out to us living in Lofoten for an extended period of time. Some rules and regulations have to be followed. Great place, people and concept! Will be back with the next snow .

I think this coffee is more oriented to locals rather than tourists. This is at least my observation over multiple visits. Nice, friendly, good value for money.

It becomes my routine to enjoy the sauna in Svolvær upon my return from the bike trips. Although very subjective, I am happy with the arrangement, location and infrastructure provided. Booking is easy and cost reasonable once you subscribe to the plans they offer.

Funny arrangement with a bike tied to an official navigational buoy. Norwegians have a good sense of humour.
