Very nice, I can't recommend just swimming here as there are trees in the water that can't be seen, which can lead to injuries when swimming over them due to sharp branches

An inn with a seaside resort was built on the site of a former brick factory in 1862. In July / August 1887 Theodor Fontane spent his poet's vacation in the seaside resort of Rüdersdorf on the idyllic Kalksee. Above all, he raved about the "deep silence of nature", a magical landscape with vast forest areas and crystal clear lakes. The seaside resort experienced its heyday at the beginning of the 20th century. On the area between the street Am Seebad and the Uferweg am Kalksee, a spa house and convalescent home as well as several residential buildings were built from 1915 onwards. The small restaurant "Strandnixe" (1925) on the shore of the Kalksee was followed in 1926/27 by the terrace restaurant "Seebad Rüdersdorf" with dance hall and guesthouse. During WWII, the restaurant lost its importance and was destroyed by bombs and occupation. Debris, wall remains and stairs of the former terrace can still be seen from the riverside path. Nothing can be seen of the actual seaside resort, there are now private jetties. The former children's home "Seebad" with a garden and direct access to the lake was located on the south-eastern corner property. The building is visually in good condition and is empty today. Unfortunately, there is nothing to read about a planned use.
