Here is the old Schwarzwasser bridge, which leads over the river Schwarzwasser. The stone bridge offers some sights worth seeing. On one side of the bridge, the water has formed impressive channels and crevices in the sandstone slabs. On the other side, a small island offers a pleasant opportunity to use the river as a bathing spot in the summer. Further ahead, the newer Schwarzwasser bridge can be seen.

From here, or especially after the wooden footbridge, a mountain bike is recommended, or you should be on foot. For all other bikes, such as gravel bikes, the path on the other side of the river is recommended; you can reach this side about 1.8 km downstream via a wooden bridge.

The Riedburg is located above the Schwarzwasserschlucht. Today, the moat, the castle hill, parts of the tower and the palace, as well as some remains of the walls are preserved.

Sense suspension bridge a part of the old bridge was mounted on the right bank of the Sense for inspection... 20 years ago I rode over it on my mountain bike using these wooden slats 😳
