The stable in Đakovo was founded way back in 1506, which ranks it among the oldest stables in Europe and speaks of the long tradition of horse breeding in the area. Lipizzaner horses were bred at the Stud at the beginning of the 19th century. Today, as the State Stud in Đakovo, it uses two locations for horse breeding and selection - Pastuharna, located in the heart of Đakovo, and Ivandvor, in the immediate vicinity of the city.
