A very pretty route along a dam between ponds. The road is almost car-free, but very bumpy and rough. Nevertheless, it's highly recommended.

In 1356, with the issuance of the Golden Bull by Emperor Charles IV, towns, including Wittichenau, were granted the right to brew beer. The beer was largely brewed in private, business and trading houses. A joint brewery was founded in 1435. At its peak, 95 citizens in Wittichenau with brewing rights brewed beer in their own homes and sold it in taverns. At the beginning of the 18th century, the communal brewery was built on the market square. This was demolished in 1890 and moved to the existing malt house.
