Tips from the Community

K. Noack
June 1, 2026, Panke Cycle Path in Karower Teiche

Very good to ride, smooth gravel path, no problem even in the rain. Heavily frequented on sunny weekends, mainly from south to north in the mornings. Very relaxed cycling in the early morning. Signage good, including distance information. Critical points are crossing Bahnhofstr in Blankenburg (heavy traffic on weekdays, not well visible heading east towards S-Blankenburg) and Pankgrafenstr (push bike over the pedestrian crossing, otherwise "misunderstandings"). The path running parallel to the S-Bahn to Bernau (S-2) is practical - entry and exit to the path possible at several points.

A beautiful lake, whose shores invite you to linger. A hike around the lake is also highly recommended.
