One of Europe’s natural wonders — turquoise pools and waterfalls everywhere you look. A reminder of why we travel: to feel small in a beautiful world. Explore Freedom was a project by ROSE Bikes. A unique adventure that celebrates the joy of connecting with people through cycling, the spirit of discovering the unknown together, and the privilege of crossing borders in Europe with ease. While the project is over, the checkpoints remain for you to explore. https://www.komoot.com/de-de/collection/3918913/-explore-freedom

Built during the Cold War, this massive Yugoslav military complex was designed to withstand a nuclear attack and housed fighter jets hidden deep inside Mount Plješevica. The base was abandoned and partially destroyed during the 1990s Balkan conflicts. Today, the runway is a surreal cycling destination: -Perfectly straight, surrounded by nature -No traffic, only wind and birdsong -Epic photo opportunities with decaying infrastructure

Here nature seems to still be intact. Everything is beautifully green and, above all, deserted! Perfect for mountain biking.

A great panorama, the lake is perfect for such shots. You are almost always alone here. Very lonely.

I found three exits and some side rooms. A good flashlight is essential, as in all Lost Places there are deep holes and large obstacles.
