Tips from the Community

This is a Swiss cultural highlight featuring the museum for the Tête de Moine cheese. There is a café in and outside, offering several items, it is nice but if you are looking for a nice meal also try the restaurant 100 meters down the road. The approach from Le Fuet to Bellelay is a very nice route on smooth asphalt, with little traffic, with 4-5 automobiles passing on the way up.

Inviting for a short rest. But not much running to be done there.

Lies hidden. The charm of the station lies in the fact that a stop is necessary in the middle of the gorge because the train makes a hairpin turn.

A bit touristy. But you can stock up on cheese and have a coffee there.

Beautiful place, nice restaurant, good starting point for a hike to and up the Wandflue.

The waterwheel in Oberdorf is a small but charming destination, perfect for a leisurely hike or bike ride in the Solothurn Jura. The lovingly restored wheel is a reminder of the region's former use of hydropower and vividly illustrates how technology and nature have interacted here for centuries.

I don't know if it's really 40%. But the route is challenging, partly because of the many rocks.
