Zauberwald Wooden Sculpture Trail

Highlight • Trail

More than 20 carved figures provide excitement and a bit of mysticism along this forest path, which leads to the Schwarzenberg lookout tower in the nature park. The magic forest was created by the Klein family.

In the forest there are now mystical gnomes, a carrot, a witch, squirrels and owls and much more. The figures stay in place all year round, some of which you have to look a little closer to spot. A highlight for Renate Klein is the “Witches' Swing”, which can accommodate three children. The "marble run" is also very popular with the children.

You can get to the magic forest from the parking lot at the disc park in the direction of the viewing tower. At the tower there is a hiking book with many entries. "This confirms that our magic forest has been very well received." Over the winter, some of the figures were re-sanded and painted, and additional signage is being planned so that everyone can find their way: "You have to go into the forest a bit submerge.”

A really great view from above. However, I would advise against going up if it's windy. There was only a very light breeze down below, but up above it felt like a hurricane that shook you around quite a bit😬

In principle, a great view and a nice resting place. But the radiation from all the radio frequencies that exist gave me a bad headache within 5 minutes. OK, I may be very sensitive when it comes to this, but the whole thing definitely wouldn't have been worth the trip if I had known that beforehand 😉

A really nice place to rest and explore. Whether young or old, this place will delight everyone. Even if you lie down on the lounger and the spruce trees sway back and forth above you, the stress of everyday life quickly loses its power 😉.
