Kamen Del Hut

Highlight • Mountain Hut

This hut is very well maintained so usually there are a lot of people there. The same owner maintains the hut at the Cherni vrah peak. You should try the vegetarian "Shkembe chorba" (Vegetarian tripe soup). It is made by mushrooms (instead of tripe) and is very interesting. You can try the same at the Cherni vrah too.

Kamen Del Peak

Highlight • Summit

This is the right place to see almost the full Sofia from the mountain. This is the peak that is usually seen from Sofia and looks like it is the highest (but it isn't).
Usually there are a lot of people there.

You can reach the peak either from Aleko (approximate 1 hour walking) or the last hut (Tintiava hut or Bor hut or Rodina hut) by the Golden bridge road (walking mainly through the forest), keep in mind that there are many holes in the road to the last hut so you can park your car when holes starts to be very big

The water mirrors the trees. It’s not dramatic — it’s contemplative. A quiet place to sit, breathe, do nothing.

Wonderful place during all seasons. The food is excellent. You can only pay with cash. Access: - by car 🚗 - there is a fork down from the main pavement road that leads right to the restaurant. ❗WARNING: the main pavement road is closed between 11am and 2pm on weekends and holidays. You can get there only by bus. - by bus 🚌 - you can get there by Sofia's public transport with bus number 66. 🎫 One-way ticket costs 2 lev, full day ticket costs 4 lev. ℹ️ Visit this website for more information: https://sofiatraffic.bg/en I really recommend getting to the mountain by bus, especially in the winter. This way you protect the mountain from bad emissions and especially congestion from cars, because there is no infrastructure for many cars - the Dragalevtsi lift is NOT working 🚡❌

Beautiful, nice and well maintained hut. Its around 20-30 mins from Kikish Shelter and 10-20 mins from Momina Skala Hut. The food is delicious 😋 and the prices are good. ❗Important: the hut serves food only on weekends and sometimes on holidays. On weekdays the hut serves only drinks. There a few routs to reach this beauty. I personaly live the "red" route, which goes strait up along the river. This one could be dangerous, especially in wet conditions. Please, use the green route in such conditions. It is not very technical, but I would recommend using a trail runners or other hiking shoes with good grip.

Small but very nice tour from the TV tower. A bit steep in some places. Also suitable for those afraid of heights.
