In front of this small sacred monument in the form of a summit cross, I would like to offer the viewer who lingers here a brief prayer text composed by the Polish-born Holy Father Jan Pawel II (Karol Wojtyła) in preparation for the great jubilee of the Holy Year 2000: + "Jesus, only Son of the Father, full of grace and truth, light that illuminates every human being, grant fullness of life to all who seek you with a pure heart. To you, the Redeemer of mankind, the beginning and end of time and the universe, to the Father, the inexhaustible source of all good, and to the Holy Spirit, the seal of infinite love, be honor and glory forever and ever. Amen." (Pope John Paul II)

If you are an ex-railway cycleways lover, here is something for you. This cycleway was a pleasant discovery for us. An ex-narrow gauge railway line, today a green cycleway, along Revúca river. No rush recommended, in order to fully enjoy the ride. If you're in rush, take the main road instead, or the roots-bumps will make you go mad. Cyklokorytnička holds its name after Korytnica - a town where the final station was (23km from Ružomberok), since the opening in 1908 until the closure 1974. It was used for by the local industry and also as a passenger line for those who visited Korytnica springs which have healing effects. Later the line was abandoned, not much better was the history of Korytnica town which lost its popularity for the new thermal complexes in Bešeňová or Mikuláš. Anyway, the ride is very pleasant, just WATCH OUT on the road crossings. Watch out not to miss the turn for Vlkolínec (which will cost you extra 200m ascent, but this one-of-its-kind lost in time village, UNESCO heritage is worth it, if you’re not very tired).
