A lovely spot on the outskirts of Deutsch Schützen. And of course, an interesting church that seems somewhat unfinished. Next to it, you'll find a stone cross, and a few meters further down, a great rest area with a drinking fountain.

The listed granary, also known informally as the "Schüttkasten," originally belonged to Rechnitz Castle. Surplus grain was stored here before being resold.

Burgenland's first artificial lake was built between 1962 and 1964 and is located in the tranquil and picturesque Faludital valley. It is approximately 300 m long, 100 m wide, and a maximum of 7 m deep. The bathing lake is fed by springs on the southern slope of the Geschriebenstein and boasts excellent water quality. There is a bathing lake buffet with a seating terrace on the south shore and a snack bar on the north shore. The water slide, the sun island, the diving tower (jumping heights of 3 and 5 meters), and the large swing area also offer plenty of additional entertainment. Free admission to the bathing lake with the Burgenland Card. Price without the card: €3.80 (valid for 2025). Discounts are available for families, seniors, schoolchildren, and students.

A pleasant route, good infrastructure. Swimming lake in Rechnitz. Also of interest is the Kreuzstadl memorial in Rechnitz. In Bad Tatzmannsdorf, be sure to stop by the Spiegel chocolate factory and/or the Kaplan pastry shop. On Wednesday mornings, the weekly market in Oberwart has a very special atmosphere.

Very good except for the regular stop signs!

The storm left a mark on the pavement of the Bahntrassen-radweg, so I had to avoid it... It was worth it! I also admired the church and the wooden locomotive. In fact, both together.

I especially like it, it is unique among the medieval church monuments in the area. Only the semi-circular apse with the Gothic buttresses joins the simple mass of the one-nave church square. Unlike the Szent-Mihály church in Csempeszopács, no tower was built here, and the original floor plan was not changed over time. I stop and admire it every time I ride this bike.
