The Civic Museum of Argenta is housed inside the church of San Domenico. The building is a fine example of fifteenth-century architecture with exposed bricks inspired by Rossetti's models and still retains the beautiful bell tower with spire in polychrome terracotta tiles. The church was owned by the Confraternity of the Battuti Bianchi who in 1495 donated it to the Dominican friars who had just settled in the city. The interior of the building has a single nave, flanked by six raised niches on each side, which in ancient times were each equipped with an altar, frescoes and stucco decorations which unfortunately have been lost due to the state of abandonment in which the building has been found several times throughout its history in addition to the damage caused by the Second World War. In 1973 the Municipality of Argenta stipulated an agreement with the Archbishop's Curia of Ravenna to be able to use the structure for public use, with the aim of collecting all those pictorial works that were saved from the bombing of April 1945 and making them accessible to the public. ... Excellent pastry shop with a very well-stocked counter from the opening at 6:30 in the morning. For us ARIETI Ferrara and #quellidelle530, it is a perfect refreshment point, for a mid-tour breakfast or a good reason to take a detour.

Protected wetland of 52 hectares, it constitutes a residual strip of the great Mezzano valleys The bends are home to two important wildlife reintroduction projects: the Wild Goose and the White Stork. In fact, the site hosts some aviaries for their reproduction, however some ducks are currently free to fly and nest in the oasis and therefore easily sightable. The flora is composed mostly of aquatic plants, such as water gentians and buttercups, as well as the marsh reeds that delimit the valley mirrors. The LIFE FALKON project aims to protect the lesser kestrel (Falco naumanni), a small diurnal bird of prey with a conservation priority at European level, whose populations are concentrated in the Mediterranean area, providing conservation actions aimed at strengthening the populations located on the north-eastern edge of the species. These conservation actions will therefore contribute to encouraging the northward expansion of the lesser kestrel http://www.lifefalkon.eu/it/

Well-stocked pastry shop, with excellent classic and modern pastry products. One of our favorites Arieti Ferrara for a stop when we pass by these parts.
