Röbel is a rural town on the west bank of the Müritz. It is the administrative seat of the Röbel-Müritz District, which includes another 18 municipalities. Röbel forms a central hub for its surroundings and is a state-recognized resort. There is a boat connection and bus service through the national park between Waren and Röbel, among other things.
