FORTE SAN BRICCIO is an architectural complex of military origin, built between 1883 and 1888 by the Italian military genius on the hill from which it takes its name, in the municipality of Lavagno (Verona), in an area already inhabited in ancient times, as evidenced by the archaeological finds found at the time of its construction. The fort was part of the northern Lessinia defensive line of the city of Verona, which was to guard the Scaliger stronghold from Austrian attacks. Decommissioned from its military use in 1979.

Mezzane di Sotto is a nucleus that is located at the bottom of the valley typical of these areas of the Veneto where the forests appear in the background and as it rises in the surrounding hilly areas, the cultivated fields appear. In the center of Mezzane di Sotto is the Piazza IV Novembre where its church is located.
