With the exception of the lower floors of the choir connection tower in the east, which are essentially medieval, all other components of the hall church were newly built in 1762; This applies to the nave and the retracted choir between the nave and the church tower. The upper floor of the church tower, which houses the tower clock and the belfry and the slate-roofed knickhelm that covers it, was only built in 1889. The façade in the west, covered with a volute gable, is divided into three areas by pilaster strips; The portal is in the middle, and there are statues in niches on the sides. The ceiling paintings from 1763, among others. about the Assumption of Mary come from Johann Peter Herrlein. Today's organ with 14 registers, 2 manuals and a pedal was built in 1996 by Horst Hoffmann. (Wikipedia)

History of the Regina Pacis monastery in Rödelmaier In 1754 the so-called new castle was built by the then knightly family Voigt von der Salzburg. 1926 Sr. Gabriele von Liszt, who came from Carmel in Vienna-Baumgarten, was able to move into this former castle with 7 other sisters after a long search for a suitable founding location. However, the first years were characterized by great poverty. After the initial difficulties of being accepted into the diocese of Würzburg, the small community of sisters was integrated into the religious and political community of Rödelmaier. This found external expression in many forms of assistance through donations of food, money and material - until today. During the Second World War, some of the sisters had to go to the nearby Maria Bildhausen for labor service. The monastery in Rödelmaier was able to accommodate sisters from other religious orders during the war. The Nazis' plans to house a military hospital or other facility in the house failed due to the poor and inadequate furnishings of the house. 1968 The sisters initially made a living largely from gardening and its products. The host bakery began work at the end of the 1960s. Today, livelihoods are earned through the sale of wafers and decorated candles. (from Karmel-Rödelmaier.de) According to information from the Main-Post, the monastery will soon be dissolved and merged with a monastery in the Eifel. The 100th anniversary celebration in 2026 will no longer be celebrated. The 8 sisters still living in the monastery will move to the Eifel. The reason is the age structure of the sisters.
