The marked route is not exactly the Via dei Mulini. The cycle path must be taken from Lido Riccio in Ortona, going up along the Arielli River to its source, crossing the territory of Tollo, Crecchio and arriving at Arielli, then descending back to Ortona along the Marrucina or Pescarese, or the same route in reverse along the river.
