Just a few minutes above Versam is the Islabord viewing platform. The freely projecting viewing balcony offers an impressive view of the steep, up to several hundred meters high rock faces of the Rhine Gorge and the turquoise-green Vorderrhein deep down in the valley. From here, the immense dimension of the Ruinaulta can be particularly well recognized. The platform is accessible in a few minutes' walk from the car park and is therefore also ideal for visitors who do not want to undertake a longer hike. Information boards provide knowledge about the formation of the Rhine Gorge, which was created by the massive Flims landslide about 10,000 years ago.

Wonderful flow, well-built, the Northshore elements are gone by now but still totally fun! 🥳

An experience! From Thalkirch, as a bio-biker, I had to push a bit now and then. But the descent to Vals is a pleasure.

The view from the two platforms of the Islabord viewpoint into the Rhine Gorge is unique. On the opposite side, you can see the Il Spir viewing tower. There is a small parking lot in the immediate vicinity, so that people with reduced mobility can also use the viewpoint.

The rest of the "Old Town" doesn't need to be seen as it has too many architectural sins.

If you're in Flims and love biking, you absolutely have to ride the Runca Trail. The trail starts at the Naraus mountain station and stretches for about 6 kilometers and 700 meters of elevation gain down to the village. I think the perfect mix of flow, berms, waves, and jumps is truly brilliant – if you prefer a more relaxed ride, you can simply take the easy lines. What really grabs me every time is the combination of speed and scenery: panoramic views above, dense forest below.
