I thought you could see Lake Lugano from this point, but that's not the case

Cacciatori Bank photo, we got as far as there, from there a gravel road begins, but you only walk up it for about 50 m, then the further course of the hiking trail is on the left. Unfortunately, very difficult to recognize, as only the front tree is marked. We thought this was the marking for the gravel road and initially went the wrong way. Better marking would be good here!

Worth seeing church above Porlezza with beautiful views over the town and the lake.

A place steeped in history from the not-so-distant past. This was a base for the Italian resistance during World War II, and the hut was used as quarters at the time.

The climb is steep and very sweaty in the sun - so the many places with wonderful views are welcome opportunities to stop and enjoy.

The climb offers very beautiful views, including across to Lago di Piano.

The lakeside promenade of Porlezza offers bars, restaurants and gelaterias at the northern end, and further south there are quiet benches under shady trees, and it continues to the bathing beach on the lake.
