The view from here is breathtaking. It's not worth going all the way to the cross—all you can see is the industrial area of Iseo.

Piazza Giuseppe Garibaldi is located in the heart of Iseo, near the boat dock on the southern shore of Lake Iseo. The piazza is a historical, social, and cultural center of the town and still serves as a meeting place for locals and visitors. Originally a marketplace and a place for political and religious activities, the piazza was dedicated to Giuseppe Garibaldi, the national hero of Italian unification, in the 19th century. This reflected patriotic pride and solidarity with the national movement. In the center of the piazza stands the world's first non-equestrian statue of Garibaldi, sculpted by Pietro Bordini and inaugurated in 1883. The monument symbolizes freedom, unity, and civic spirit and is a prominent landmark of the town. The piazza is surrounded by historic arcaded buildings, including the old town hall. The arcades house cafés, restaurants, and shops, giving the piazza a lively atmosphere. Today, the piazza is a venue for markets, concerts, cultural events, and festivals. It is considered one of the liveliest squares in Iseo and offers visitors an authentic experience of the Italian way of life. When we visited it today, the finish line of the Iseo Triathlon was right there.
