The Fountain collects water from a local spring. It was built in the early twentieth century, in living stone modeled by some local stonecutters. The beauty of its classical workmanship is combined with the charm of the reference to a mythological figure. In a central position, in fact, there is the statue depicting Triton, son of Poseidon and the Nereid Amphitride, half man and half fish, who holds in his hands a shell horn, whose sound, according to Greek mythology, calmed storms. This monument highlights the link between the Irpinia town and its springs, in the wonderful setting of the Partenio Park.
