Beyond nature, the area is steeped in history related to the Great War, with monuments such as the Military Shrine, and is famous for its food and wine tradition, ranging from chiodini mushrooms to prized Prosecco wine and dishes of Venetian rural cuisine served in numerous osterias.

Located in the heart of Treviso, the Loggia dei Cavalieri is one of the city's most precious symbols of its communal past. Built in the second half of the 13th century under the podestà Andrea da Perugia, it was the privileged meeting and leisure place for nobles and knights, who dedicated themselves to games and conversations here. The structure is distinguished by its irregular quadrilateral shape and its large round arches resting on elegant Istrian stone columns. The internal and external walls are decorated with fresco cycles from the medieval era, including chivalric scenes and ornamental motifs that, despite the damage suffered during the bombings of 1944, retain a unique charm. Today, this open and monumental space continues to be a vital center for Treviso's culture.

Ponte della Priula is a dynamic hamlet in the municipality of Susegana, located on the left bank of the Piave river. The name of the locality derives from the noble Venetian family of the Priuli, who in the past owned vast estates and villas in this strategic area. Born as a crucial crossing point where ancient Roman roads intersected, today the hamlet is an important residential and commercial center of the Marca Trevigiana. Its modern development is inextricably linked to the presence of the bridge, but the inhabited center also offers places of interest such as the Votive Temple, dedicated to the fallen of the Great War, and natural areas along the riverbanks, frequented for walks and outdoor activities in a landscape that blends wartime history and river nature.

The Abbey of Santa Maria is a masterpiece of Cistercian architecture and one of the most significant spiritual centers in the Veneto. The true jewel of the complex is the cloister: a perfect quadrilateral where paired columns, all different from each other in decoration and shape, create a unique play of light and shadow. Inside the basilica, the gable facade and the solemn naves lead the eye towards the altar, where the venerated statue of the Madonna del Sacro Calice is kept. This place emanates a sense of absolute peace, bearing witness to centuries of monastic labor and profound sacred art.

The "La Tradotta" cycle-pedestrian path winds for about 20 kilometers in the province of Treviso, following the old military railway line used during the Great War between Montebelluna and Susegana. This flat and protected route crosses the municipalities of Montello, offering a total immersion between nature and historical memory. The path is ideal for families and cycle tourists thanks to the absence of slopes and the safety of the route, which allows you to observe old recovered railway houses and valuable agricultural landscapes. Today it represents a fundamental green corridor that connects the historical heritage of the Piave river with the natural beauty of the hills of Treviso.

A few kilometers were enough for the route to begin to tell its story. The creaking wood of a long bridge accompanied us towards one of the most silent and memory-laden places: the cemetery of the Burci. Amidst the still water and the vegetation that now reclaims every space, the wrecks of old boats emerge like forgotten thoughts, suspended between past and present. There time seems to slow down, almost to stop, and we too, for a moment, truly stop pedaling...

The first section on the Montebelluna side and the last on the Nervesa side, the rest is a bit boring and dusty.
