Mulino Fiorin di Caldenever is an ancient structure already present in the Brandolini Cadastre of 1689 as “Casa da molini con due ruote” (Mill house with two wheels). The complex was managed by the Fiorin family until its closure, which took place in the 20th century. Over time, there were several owners of the ancient mill. The current owners, the Salton family, bought it around the end of the 1940s from the Frare family. Continuing the route along this Waterway, one encounters another Mill of the Fiorin family. The first historical information about this mill dates back to 1650 when the Counts Brandolini granted the Bernardi brothers the fulling mill. The original use of this ancient construction is not known. What we do know is that there was a change of purpose that involved a great deal of work by specialized personnel. In the Brandolini Cadastre of 1689, Mulino Fiorin is listed as a fulling mill. The situation remained unchanged until the 1890s. In the 1870s, the purpose changed and it became a grain mill. Milling activity continued throughout the century. Inside, the millstones are still present, but the mechanisms have been removed. The property was and still is the same: the Fiorin family. The building has been restored. Near the buildings, the reconstructed water channeling works, such as the washhouses, are clearly visible.

Located at the foot of the Treviso Prealps, the Abbey of Santa Maria di Follina is one of the greatest masterpieces of late Romanesque and Cistercian Gothic style in Italy. Originally founded by Benedictine monks and brought to its greatest splendor by the Cistercians in the 13th century, the abbey amazes with the harmony of its proportions and the spirituality it emanates. The true jewel of the complex is the cloister, completed in 1268: an architectural masterpiece where paired, single, or spiral-decorated columns support elegant arches, creating a unique play of light and shadow. Inside the church, the majestic altarpiece and the statue of the Madonna of the Sacred Chalice make the site a vibrant pilgrimage destination even today. A place where the art, silence, and history of the wool-making monks are inextricably intertwined.
