The Sint-Jan Baptistkerk is the parish church of the town of Wildert, part of the Antwerp municipality of Essen, located at Sint-Jansstraat 87. In 1877, Wildert became an independent parish. A school was established. The current brick church was built in 1943 in a sober neo-Romanesque style, designed by Van Kerkhoven. A relief depicting John the Baptist can be found above the entrance portal. The church has a semicircular apse and an adjacent square, flat tower, covered by a tent roof.
