The Statieput in Eernegem, also known as the Stationsvijver, is a historical pond located in Eernegem. This pond was originally dug as a water reservoir for the railways and has a surface area of approximately 5 hectares with a depth of approximately 2.40 meters. The water was previously used for the boilers of steam locomotives and sent to Ostend via pipes. The pond was enlarged in the 1920s and has retained its current shape ever since.
