Climbing Section on the Flekkefjord Cliffs

Highlight (Segment) • Climb

As already mentioned... One should have courage, because it is not without risk... I would avoid the typical hiking times. We left the last parking lot at 3 p.m. and were there at 8 p.m. including two breaks of 2 minutes each, a few photos here and there, a lot of looking and briefly on the stone and on the stone again, back again. Would describe us as sporty :)

Brufjell Caves

Highlight • Cave

The Brufjell Holes were likely carved out of the rock by the surf before the coastline rose after the last Ice Age. A rare natural phenomenon!

From the Brufjell summit, you can descend to Brufjellhålene. The path is very steep and exposed. Steel steps and steel cables have been installed for climbing the steepest sections (a short via ferrata without safety equipment). Nevertheless, this section is dangerous, especially in wet conditions and with improper footwear! Dogs cannot negotiate this route.

Don't be too tempted by the cave photos; some visitors are disappointed because the caves are smaller than they appear in the photos. The real attraction are the eroded rock formations directly above the surf.

A beautiful hike with a worthwhile destination for us, the Kolbolten. Along the way, you'll need to be sure-footed, as well as great views. It's NOT an easy hike, but rather moderately difficult. And be careful, it's quite muddy in rain or after rainy days.

I have to agree with Oliver; we also needed twice as much time for the hike today, not including the break at Kolbolten. Sturdy footwear is recommended. Armin

Warning.....this tour is described as easy with good paths! Can be completed in 1 hour 16 minutes! Unfortunately, that's not quite true! Maybe if you're a jogger! If you have a certain level of fitness, surefootedness, good footwear, and three hours to spare, it's a truly beautiful tour! You should have a good sense of judgment when evaluating a tour. Oliver
