At the start of this hike, even before taking your first step, you can enjoy a magnificent view from the side of the road. The mountain forms a wall on the horizon, giving you a real sense of disconnection from the world.

From this shore of Storvatnet, you can admire both the calming waters of the lake and the jagged cliffs of Stjerntinden, which plunge vertically into the water.

Funny arrangement with a bike tied to an official navigational buoy. Norwegians have a good sense of humour.

Nice viewpoint from here but be careful with the traffic. For cars, better stop in a dedicated place and walk here.

If you prefer more beach, the east side of this fjord is the point to stop. There is more sand at low tide but also a longer walk to get into the deep blue water. Define one of the more scenic fjords along the Lofoten Archipelago.

This fjord provides some very scenic views, especially, if there is a sun/cloud/mist mixture with some azure blue over deep blue water and sandy contrast. Plenty of stops possible along the E10, picnic spots or just for shooting photos. Also invites for strolling around the sandy beaches or go for a quick swim.

Here you can find the brown-ochre houses, elsewhere you mostly see only red houses.
