Path up to the viaduct which can be cycled across - eventually also we should be able to cycle down the other side - but works are still in progress on the path and the Visitors Centre.

Interesting historical mill, with a great cheese shop and a few other nice shops plus a cafe. Worth stopping by on a walk, especially if you're a fan of cheese, or waterwheels!

September 24, 2024, Cromford Canal

The former Cromford Canal ran 14.5 miles (23.3 kilometres) from Cromford to the Erewash Canal in Derbyshire, with a branch to Pinxton. Completed in 1794, it carried coal, lead and iron ore, as well as local limestone. After falling into disuse, recent renovations have restored the canal and towpath for recreational use.
