With racks for cycles and a welcoming attitude for those of us who 'clack' when we walk, the Bircham Country Store is worth a visit. Great coffee and a selection of cakes and savoury treats to keep even the hungriest riders going. Bircham Windmill is a spectacularly well-preserved working windmill that gives a real insight into how the mills would have looked 100 years ago. While this landscape would have housed hundreds of windmills very few are left today. Bircham is considered one of the best still remaining and is the only windmill in working order in this area that is still open to the public.
