April 4, 2026, Big Daddy Ridge Hike, Namib-Naukluft National Park

The hike from the end of the asphalt road to the dunes and back is simply brilliant in the morning! We were smirked at by the local guides, but we went in and out with incredible impressions that you don't get when driving through the sand on the track. My recommendation is therefore to go on foot 👍😉

Shoes with good tread help you reach under the arch. The ascent is somewhat easier from the east than from the west.
