The Graukogel crossing is a magnificent circuit. It leads up over the Palfnerscharte ridge, then along the rocky ridge (some easy scrambling) – a head for heights is required. Descend via the standard route to the mountain station. Walking time from the mountain station is 3 hours up, and 90 minutes down. Magnificent views.
