The unique thing about Clam Castle is that it is not a museum in the traditional sense, but rather an inhabited and fully furnished medieval castle! The Clam family has lived in this mighty fortress for over 550 years. The tour of the castle begins in the three-storey Renaissance arcade courtyard and leads through the castle pharmacy, armory and chapel to the living quarters of the Counts of Clam. In addition to several guest rooms, you can also see the former breakfast room, which today houses a unique collection of porcelain. During the guided tour, the visitor gets an insight into life in the medieval castle over the centuries and up to the present day.
