The Theklakapelle St. Lorenz-Gries is located at approx. 580 meters altitude in the forest on the Klausbach stream below the Drachenstein. A Klausen warden, surprised by a storm, built this chapel with an image of Saint Thekla.

The sign below made us a bit uncertain, but we laughed about it later. Anyone who goes to a summit more often will laugh about it.

This section is challenging but very beautiful. Not suitable for children unless they have serious alpine experience. You don't need to be a via ferrata expert, but it is very steep. Therefore, you should be comfortable with vertigo and steady on your feet, as missteps will not be forgiven. Nevertheless, it's beautiful and easily mastered with some experience. If you hike this route to the west summit, it will take you about 5 hours from the parking lot to the return trip (ascent, summit visit, descent).
